Nuffer Fitness is proud to support the following organizations through the donation of our time and fitness expertise for adults and children.

 

The mission of The Fit Kids Foundation is to promote a healthy, active lifestyle among children in underserved communities in the Bay Area by providing various opportunities to be involved in organized sports and fitness classes. Fit Kids hopes to inspire an early love of sports and physical activity that will serve as the foundation for a healthy lifestyle while simultaneously helping to build positive relationships, self-confidence, independence and the ability to deal with adversity.

   
 

The mission of Kids 4 Sports is to promote healthy living and exercise by providing sporting equipment and after-school sports league opportunities for kids, and by removing financial barriers so all kids can participate in sports. 

   
 World Diabetes Day (WDD) is celebrated every year on November 14. The World Diabetes Day campaign is led by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and its member associations. It engages millions of people worldwide in diabetes advocacy and awareness. World Diabetes Day was created in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization in response to growing concerns about the escalating health threat that diabetes now poses. World Diabetes Day became an official United Nations Day in 2007 with the passage of United Nation Resolution 61/225. The campaign draws attention to issues of paramount importance to the diabetes world and keeps diabetes firmly in the public spotlight.
   
 The Summer Scamper is a 5k/10k event organized by The Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s health which works in alignment with Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and the child health programs of Stanford University.  The Foundation’s mission is to elevate the priority of children's health, and increase the quality and accessibility of children's health care through leadership and direct investment.
   
 The mission of My New Red Shoes is to help homeless and low-income children look and feel confident as they start the school year by providing them with new clothing and shoes and by rallying youth and adults around this effort through volunteer and educational opportunities for individuals, families, schools, corporations, and community groups.
   
 

The Hillsborough School Association supports the Hillsborough school district through various events and fundraising opportunities. The Hillsborough City School District shall work in partnership with students, parents, and other community members to educate the whole child in a nurturing environment and empower each student to become a contributing member and responsible participant in our changing world.

   
 

The Turkey Trot is an annual event organized by The MEB2 Foundation which was founded in 2006 after Michael Edward Bratton II took his own life at the age of 25. In memory of beloved Michael, MEB2’s primary focus is to support local youth activities, A New Day, and suicide and depression awareness and prevention in Nevada County. The MEB2 Foundation is a nonprofit organization funded by local community and business support. MEB2’s main fundraiser is the Annual Michael Edward Bratton II Turkey Trot hosted on Thanksgiving Morning. 100% of the proceeds raised at our Turkey Trot are given directly back into our community.
